FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME VETERINARY TECHNICIAN/ASSISTANT

Hartford Veterinary Clinic, currently a one doctor small animal practice, near Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a full or part time Veterinary Technician/ Assistant. An associate of applied science degree in veterinary technology is desired but not necessary. The ideal candidate should be a compassionate, self-motivated individual who possess strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills.

This position is responsible for communicating with clients and staff in a professional manner both in person and over the phone and be comfortable handling pet patients in a variety of sizes and species. Duties will include, but are not limited to, greeting clients and patients, processing appointments, filing, collecting payments, light cleaning, answering or directing inquiries about services and/or products and supporting other team members. Must also be able to assist veterinarian and administer medications under veterinarian's supervision. The individual must also be knowledgeable in computers and have the ability to learn a computer software program.

ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Two veterinarian small animal practice established in December of 2009 is seeking to add a full or part time associate veterinarian. We opened, we built, and we keep growing. We believe in team support among the staff and delivering quality care for our clients and our patients. Support staff includes 2-3 veterinary technicians/ assistants per veterinarian. A building addition was done in 2016 to add more space and includes 4 exam rooms, 2 surgery suites, a cat kennel room, a dog kennel room, isolation rooms, food storage room, offices, and a breakroom. One of current veterinarians is PENN Hip certified. We do have a number of clients who are breeders or dog trainers obedience and hunting. In house laboratory capabilities with IDEXX Procyte, Catalyst Machines, and Sedivue. Digital radiology. Wisonic Clover Ultrasound. Cornerstone Software. Ultrasonic dental equipment. In house and online store pharmacies. Scheduled work week is 36 hours. Any experience level will be considered. Salary will be based on experience. Membership dues and license dues included. Continuing education benefits. Clinic is located in a growing small town within 10 miles of Sioux Falls, SD. A variety of outdoor activities are available in the area including hunting, fishing, camping, skiing. Clinic supported by other local business and Area Chamber of Commerce.
