FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME VETERINARY TECHNICIAN/ASSISTANT

Hartford Veterinary Clinic is currently a two-doctor small animal practice near Sioux Falls, SD. We are seeking a full or part-time Veterinary Technician/ Assistant. An associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology is desired, but not necessary. The ideal candidate should be a compassionate, self-motivated individual who possesses strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

This position is responsible for professionally communicating with clients and staff both in person and over the phone and being comfortable handling pet patients in a variety of sizes and species.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting clients and patients
• Processing appointments
• Filing
• Collecting payments
• Light cleaning
• Answering or directing inquiries about services and/or products
• supporting other team members.

Must also be able to assist the veterinarian and administer medications under the veterinarian's supervision.

The individual must also be knowledgeable in computers and can learn a computer software program.

ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

We are a two-Veterinarian small animal practice established in December of 2009, seeking to add a full or part-time Associate Veterinarian. We believe in team support among our staff, and we deliver quality care for our clients and our patients.

Support staff includes 2-3 Veterinary Technicians/ Assistants per Veterinarian. In 2016, we added an addition to our building, adding more space to include includes 4 exam rooms, 2 surgery suites, a cat kennel room, a dog kennel room, isolation rooms, a food storage room, offices, and a break room.

One of the current Veterinarians is PENN Hip Certified. We have several clients who are breeders or dog trainers specializing in obedience and hunting. We also offer in-house laboratory capabilities with IDEXX ProCyte, Catalyst machines, and SediVue, as well as digital radiology and Wisonic Clover ultrasound. Our clinic utilizes Cornerstone software and ultrasonic dental equipment. Additionally, we have both in-house and online store pharmacies for your convenience.
